Situated just four miles from the mainland across the Solent, the Isle of Wight is often described as the Garden Isle with its wonderful scenery and attractive resorts it makes it the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. More than half of the Isle of Wight has been designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty with fifty per cent of its coastline honoured by the title Heritage Coast an award only given to the finest beaches in the country. Queen Victoria fell in love with the Island and after her first visit to Osborne House pronounced it is impossible to find a prettier spot.

We depart from your home with our home pick-up service, join your tour coach and travel south for our late afternoon crossing to the Isle of Wight, after disembarking we continue to our hotel, time to settle in before dinner.
Our excursion today takes us on a scenic drive to the Isle of Wight Pearl, with spectacular cliff-top views over the English Channel, there is a café here for you to enjoy refreshments if you choose. From here we head to the seaside resort of Ryde where you can obtain lunch, we return to the hotel via the coastal town of Bembridge and its famous windmill.
Today well take the return journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. We then travel to Osborne House, Queen Victorias palace by the sea. Decorated in Victorian opulence, extravagant interiors, and Indian décor in the Durbar Room. Osborne was built as a family home and as you walk through the Queens bedroom, the nursery rooms, and even royal bathrooms you will get an intimate glimpse into royal family life.
Today we head for the Ventnor Botanic Garden, which lies in the remarkable microclimate at the heart of the famous Undercliff. This unique garden is protected from the cold northerly winds by chalk downs and holds warmth from its southerly aspect. The Garden is unrivalled for its collections of subtropical plants grown unprotected out of doors.
Today after breakfast we leave our hotel and make our way to Fishbourne and our morning ferry crossing back to Portsmouth and home.

Originally built in the late 1860s, said to be for one of Queen Victorias ladies-in-waiting, the house still retains its sense of history whilst providing comfortable accommodation enhanced by its original Victorian features. Uniquely located on an elevated position at the foot of Luccombe Downs, the hotel benefits from both countryside and coastal Vistas.
