Edinburgh | Royal Yacht Britannia | Royal Botanic Garden | Guided Tour of Kilbryde Castle & Gardens | Stirling Castle | Cruise on the Loch Katrine | Glengoyne Distillery
Beginning with our exclusive home pick up service and travel north to Scotland with comfort stops enroute, arriving at your hotel late afternoon. Time to relax before dinner.
We travel to Edinburgh, Scotlands cosmopolitan capital for our visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia, to discover what life was like on board the Queen's floating royal residence. Today we also have time to stroll through the remarkable landscapes of Asia, America and Africa, thanks to the exotic plants in the Royal Botanic Garden where there are over 70 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.
A morning visit to Kilbryde Castle and Gardens, this magical place has been the family home of the Campbell family since 1659, and our visit includes a guided tour of the castle and stunning gardens. No trip to Scotland would be complete without a visit to a local distillery and for this tour we visit the Glengoyne Distillery, probably Scotlands most beautiful distillery with its waterfall and hidden glen.
We make our way to Stirling Castle, one of the most important castles in Scotland, in a magnificent setting on high volcanic rock. Here you can discover a world of colour, splendour and glorious craftsmanship as you explore the world of Scotlands Renaissance Kings and Queens. This afternoon we enjoy a cruise on board the Lady of the Lake on Loch Katrine, with afternoon cream tea served on board as you sail the loch.
This morning we enjoy a final breakfast before we bid farewell to our hosts and begin our journey home, with comfort stops enroute.
Please note: days on which included excursions operate maybe subject to change.
